I grew up in Neenah from 1941–61. My mother was an avid reader and encouraged my two older brothers and me to read for pleasure, beyond using the library for homework research. I graduated as an English lit major from UW/Madison and move to New York, where I had a 46 year career in the publishing business. I firmly believe that the seed was planted at the Neenah public library under the auspices of the head librarian, Mrs. Johnson, and I am forever grateful!
