Educator Library Cards

Educator cards are available for educators at any level, including home-schooling parents, student teachers, daycare teachers, and teachers in public and private schools. Educator cards are for curriculum-related materials only (you continue to use a regular card for your personal check-outs). This card has a four-week loan period for books, seven day loan period for DVDs, one renewal, and no fines for overdue items. Holds for curriculum-related materials can be placed with an educator card, and longer check-outs are possible by special arrangements with the youth staff. Staff will assist teachers in reserving multiple copies of a single title. The Library will bill for lost, non-returned, or damaged items. Teacher cards are exclusively for physical materials and cannot be used to borrow electronic materials. Stop at the circulation desk to register for your teacher card or apply for one online.

Educator Collections

The library youth staff will prepare a subject collection for anyone who holds an educator card, with 5 working days notice. You provide the reading level, format, quantity of materials, subject and date needed, and we will collect appropriate materials and have them checked out and ready for pick-up by the date you've indicated. (We limit items in high-demand areas, and requests for specific titles will be handled on a case-by-case basis). Requests for educator collections can be submitted in person, by email, online, or by phone. Request forms are also available at the youth desk or available below. To phone in a request, call (920)886-6335; to email one, contact us at youthdesk@neenahlibrary.org. We're always happy to take your request in person at the youth desk!
