Google Drive offers so many different free services, that getting started can be a bit daunting. Join the Neenah Public Library Monday, February 25th, at 6:00 pm for a hands-on workshop on how to take advantage of Google Drive’s many different services. Learn how to store and manage your photos, create spreadsheets, documents, and more. A free Google account is required for this class. Register online via Sign-up Genius or by calling the library 920-886-6315.

Ken Gellerstedt, Investment Advisor with Edward Jones will discuss rules of investing including developing a strategy, understanding risk, diversification, sticking with quality, investing for the long-term, have realistic expectations, and more!

Thursday, February 28

Volunteers with AARP will be at the library Thursdays beginning at 11:30 to help low- to moderate- income taxpayers and seniors prepare their tax returns.

Appointments required. Call 920-215-1040 to schedule an appointment Monday through Friday. Appointment hotline opens mid-January.

 

Drop in for a friendly game of chess every Thursday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to attend. Even if you have never played, but are interested in learning, stop by and we will teach you. No registration or chess boards required. Chess is played on the library's second floor.

Free weekly ukulele workshops with Sam ‘Ālika Bader begins Thursday, January 17. At the Thursday workshops, Sam will teach new skills, new techniques, and new songs – something new every week! For confident beginners, advanced beginners, and intermediate level ukulele players.

Workshops are held on Thursdays, from January 17 through March 14, from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. in the Library’s Storytime Room. No registration required and no fee. Attend a few or all nine workshops.

Sam, a multi-instrumentalist and native Hawaiian, has been playing ukulele from the age of 9. He has been teaching group ukulele classes at the Library since 2016.

Bring music you're working on, something you're having trouble with, play a solo or a duet for the group, play along with your fellow ukers. All skill levels welcome!

Ukers will meet in the first floor Story Time Room.

Fitness Friday is canceled for March 1.

 

Talented tenor, Steven Paul Spears will be joined by Lawrence University Conservatory Students and accompanied by pianist, Linda Sparks.

 

Join us at the library for afternoon concerts from a variety of unique and talented artists!

The hour-long concerts begin at 2:00 PM, October to May, in the Shattuck Community Room. Performances are free and open to the public. The concert series is sponsored by The Friends of the Neenah Public Library.

Sunday, March 3

Are you interested in learning how to play Dungeons and Dragons? Join us every Sunday at 1:00pm in the second floor Aylward Room at the Neenah Public Library. This friendly Dungeons and Dragons group is always looking for few more adventurers. This is a great introduction for newbies, or people simple looking for a gaming group. No registration is required for this free event.

This is group is for adults 18 and older.
