Mindfulness: Bringing Awareness and Compassion into our Complicated World

with Joy Jordan

Mindfulness helps us savor the good things in life. It’s also a buoy when life is difficult. As we become more aware, our hearts open in all directions. Compassion can be cultivated, as can resilience. This one-hour session explores mindfulness practices that can used when life is challenging and when life is joyous. Small steps toward wholehearted living in a complicated world.

Thursday, January 10

Bring music you're working on, something you're having trouble with, play a solo or a duet for the group, play along with your fellow ukers. All skill levels welcome!

Ukers will meet in the first floor Story Time Room.

Drop in for a friendly game of chess every Thursday evening from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. All ages and skill levels are encouraged to attend. Even if you have never played, but are interested in learning, stop by and we will teach you. No registration or chess boards required. Chess is played on the library's second floor.
