Your Neenah Library Story My name is Raisa M. Ramos; I'm the owner and Human Resources Advisor at Find Joy Off The Path, LLC. Originally from San Juan, PR, when I first moved to Neenah over twenty years ago, I had never truly experienced the impact of experiencing a public library. NPL has become a source for both personal growth and learning for our family, through different life stages, as well as professionally, as multiple times during the week, I work remotely from NPL. NPL inspires a sense of community and has created amazing memories for me; from the time I brought our son to his first story time, to when we both learned ukelele, where our daughter comes to do arts and crafts, and loves getting lost finding new books to read. I've so enjoyed the early morning yoga program in the summer, and the peace I get from each of those Friday's. While I work in the summer, our daughter picks out books and reads them; it's the best of both worlds. My parents are from Puerto Rico, and when they visit us they too enjoy the exercise programs and talks the library offers. My husband, while not an avid reader, has recently gotten a library card and is listening to Hoopla books on his commute to/from work. The library has a special meaning for me on all accounts. As of this week, I've published my first book: Now You're Leading! How to Navigate Your First Days as a New Manager. The majority of this book was written at NPL! It was a place I knew I could come for peace, whether I sat looking out at the water or brainstorming ideas in a meeting room ~ NPL gave me the space to focus and keep working at my goal. I can't say enough about the NPL staff. They are extremely knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, and when you arrive it's so great to see them. NPL has been a wonderful place for our family, and has made a positive impact in our lives. I think it's important that we celebrate the library, and the people who make it such an AMAZING resource for all of our community. Thank you NPL and its great team!
