Who knew that dogs love stories too?  Durning Neenah Public Library’s Pooches & Pages, children in first through sixth grade can come read to a dog between 10:30 and 11:30 a.m.  No registration required.

Pooches & Pages is held on the second Saturday of every month.  It is a reading program designed to build reading confidence and self-esteem, help a child maintain focus for a longer period of time, and increase the motivation to read.  Dogs are carefully selected to ensure a safe and fun experience, and the owner/handlers are library volunteers who love helping children become enthusiastic readers.  The dogs are gentle, calm and polite and listen patiently and without judgment as a child reads aloud.
