Jazz: Blue Note Records Celebration

In partnership with Lawrence University the Neenah Public Library will be offering a series of free live jazz concerts. This year, in honor of Blue Note Records 80th Anniversary, each concert will feature hits from the venerable label. Including songs from Art Blakey, Herbie Hancock, Lee Morgan, and more. Hosted in the library’s Shattuck Room. No reservations necessary.

Short Story Night

 

Stories will be read at this event. No need to read anything ahead of time.

Take one part late-night talk show, a heavy dose of Intro to Lit 101, combine in a brewery and you have Short Story Night. Join host Richie Zaborowske for an evening of trivia, prizes, literary discussion and more. No reading necessary. Short stories will be read to the audience – no need to bluff your way through the discussion. Simply show up and enjoy an evening of intellectual hijinks!
