Jazz Jubilee 2019

Come celebrate spring and jazz music at the Neenah Public Library Sunday, May 19th at 2:00 pm. This performance by students from the Neenah High School band will feature the music of past greats like Count Basie, and Stan Kenton as well as contemporary artists like Janet Planet and Patty Darling. All ages are welcome for this free performance.

DIY Design Workshop

 

March Workshop: Tissue Paper Art on Canvas

Create a unique design by placing tissue paper on a canvas, add water to the paper and watch your design swirl into a masterpiece!

Unleash your creativity! Join us at the library each month, October to May, at 6:00 PM. Each DIY workshop will feature a different design project. All supplies will be provided and registration is not required.

Projects offered in the DIY Design Workshops are designed for teens and adults.

Giants of Jazz Herbie Hancock

This past fall, in partnership with Lawrence University, the Neenah Public Library offered a series of jazz concerts. Each performance highlighted a famous jazz musician. The first event featured the music of renowned composer Thelonious Monk, while the last delivered a stellar performance of saxophone giant John Coltrane's seminal work. Each event found the student quartet offering up lively and approachable takes of the featured artist's tunes.

Chain O'Lakes Ghost Hunters

Join Christy Nehring from the Chain O’ Lakes Paranormal group for a special presentation! Nehring will share her group’s recent investigations into the unexplained. Learn all about ghost hunting fieldwork and what it takes to seek out the paranormal. No registration necessary.

Legacy Journaling

Have you thought about your family’s legacy? What do you want your children to remember? What about your children’s children? Learn how to create a Legacy Journal with Lori Coonen at the Neenah Public Library, Thursday April 4th at 6:30pm. Coonen will help you document your family’s life stories. Learn how to pass along cherished memories, life lessons, and more. Create a document that will resonate through generations. Please bring your favorite writing utensil. This free workshop does not require registration.

Are you interested in learning how to play Dungeons and Dragons? Join us every Sunday at 1:00pm in the second floor Aylward Room at the Neenah Public Library. This friendly Dungeons and Dragons group is always looking for few more adventurers. This is a great introduction for newbies, or people simple looking for a gaming group. No registration is required for this free event.
