Educator Services

Teacher Cards

Teacher cards are available for educators at any level, including:

  • Home-schooling parents
  • Student teachers
  • Daycare teachers
  • Public and private school teachers

Educators need to fill out an application form in person at the Checkout Desk. Please note that a valid and active regular library account is required to apply for this additional card. A Teacher card is designated for curriculum-related materials only and this card cannot be used to borrow electronic materials, Lucky Day and new adult items. Your regular card should continue to be used for personal checkouts.

Card privileges:

  • Can be used at any Winnefox Library
  • Four-week loan period for books
  • Seven-day loan period for DVDs
  • Two renewals if no holds on items
  • No daily fines for overdue items

The library will bill for long overdue (30 days past due) or for damaged items. Staff may cancel, revoke, or restrict Teacher cards if misuse occurs or the account holder is no longer teaching.

Holds for curriculum-related materials can be placed and longer check outs are possible by special arrangements with the youth staff. Staff will assist educators in reserving multiple copies of a single title.

Educator Collections

Library staff will prepare a subject collection for anyone who holds an educator card, with a minimum of 5 business days’ notice. Educators provide the reading level, format, quantity of materials, subject and date that materials are needed. We will collect appropriate materials and have them checked out and ready for pick up. Requests for educator collections should be submitted online. If you would like to make a request by phone, call (920)886-6335.  We are always happy to process your request in person at the youth desk!

Library Visit

We welcome visits from both small and large groups.  If you prefer, a librarian can also visit you at your location. Just fill out this form, and we’ll be in touch to help plan your visit.
