Friends of Neenah Public Library
The Friends of the Neenah Public Library is a non-profit volunteer 501(c)(3) organization committed to meeting the needs of the library. Our purpose is to maintain an association of persons interested in libraries; to focus public attention on the library; to stimulate the use of the library’s resources and services; to receive and encourage gifts, endowments, and bequests to the library; to support and cooperate with the library in developing library services and facilities for the community. Along with your membership fees, our annual book and magazine sale generate funds to support the mission of the library.
Activities of our Friends
Serve on the Friends Board
The Friends Board oversees donations to the Friends and ensures funds are used as directed and in accordance with the needs of the Library. Board members organize and staff the annual booksale, assist with writing grants, and volunteer.
Pop-up Book Sale
Occasionally, the Friends of the Neenah Library holds a pop-up book sale on the library’s first floor, which is restocked often. Next time you visit us, remember to stop by and see what is available for purchase.
Annual Book Sale
Volunteers run the annual book sale, generating valuable funds to support library programs, services, and projects.
Our annual book sale is held every August. You may drop off your donations year-round, except in August. We do not accept the following items:
- Reader’s Digest Condensed books
- Encyclopedia Sets
- Musty-smelling books
- Textbooks older than 10 years
- Travel Guides older than 3 years
- VHS and cassette tapes
- National Geographic magazine and magazines older than 2 years
- Artwork

If you would like to support the work we do, please become a member of the Friends of the Neenah Public Library today! You may become a member using PayPal, or complete an online Friends of the Neenah Public Library Membership Application [pdf] and mail it with your donation to Neenah Public Library, PO Box 569, Neenah, WI 54957-0569. Applications are also available at the library’s Circulation Desk. Membership fees are as follows:

- Family $25.00
- Contributing $50.00
- Sponsor or Corporate $100.00
