Fox Cities Reads is happy to announce that, Stella by Starlight, by best-selling author Sharon Draper has been selected for the 2017 Read, which is a one book, one community reading program. Readers are encouraged to pick up a copy of the book and participate in discussions and events leading up to the author’s visit to the Fox Cities on April 4th & 5th, 2017.

Stella by Starlight gives readers of all ages the opportunity to engage with one another and explore issues of prejudice and discrimination. As a child, Draper’s grandmother, Estelle, would sneak out of her home to write under the stars, leaving Sharon her treasured journal, which along with her own father, was the inspiration behind the book.
