First Friday: Classics to Broadway

Mezzo-soprano Michelle Peterson will present a program of songs featuring American and Spanish folk melodies set to music by classical composers, and music by contemporary American and musical theater composers, including songs by Stephen Sondheim. Songs by classical German and French composers are included in the program. Songs are sung in French, Spanish, German and English with translations provided and commentary.
